Confirmed: the Transfer is Canceled and Won't Come to Real Madrid in January

The white club already knows he won't come in January and is exploring possibilities for the summer

As the days go by, it seems more complicated to close any transfers in the winter market for Real Madrid. Despite the many rumors that have circulated, almost all options have been ruled out. The only one that remains open, although it's difficult, is Alexander Arnold's.

Among the others, one that had gained traction in recent days was Franco Mastanuono's. It had been rumored that the Whites would go after him during January. This way, they would beat the other teams that are also interested in him.

However, River Plate has completely ruled it out and will wait until the summer to confirm his departure. So there are a few months ahead in which many things can happen. The situation has taken many turns with the young Argentine.

He has a contract until 2026, but the millionaires know it will be difficult to retain him for another season. However, until the summer, they will stand firm in their position not to negotiate. Something they already did last year when Mastantuono's name burst onto the European market.

Real Madrid is upset but hasn't lost sight of him as a potential transfer

Last summer, Solari and Juni Calafat traveled to Argentina to meet with Franco Mastantuono. He expressed his desire to join the white team, prioritizing their offer over others. It seemed like a transfer set to be closed by 2025.

However, everything changed with the betrayal of the player's agent, who reached the agreement to renew him with River Plate. This caused his release clause to increase to 40 million, a figure that doesn't please Madrid. In fact, Florentino wanted to lower his original price by including variables.

This change in the landscape led some media to suggest that his transfer had been completely ruled out. But it hasn't been the case, and they remain very alert to the young Argentine's performance. Although from the Premier League, clubs like Liverpool are also willing to bid for his services.
