Fabrizio Romano confirms it, Nico Paz and Real Madrid have a deal until 2026

The young Argentine has been on Real Madrid's agenda this summer

There have been many rumors circulating this summer about Real Madrid and possible signings. Konaté, Zubimendi, Stiller, or Wharton have been just some of those linked with Los Blancos. However, if there's one that has come close to becoming a reality, it's Nico Paz.

Los Merengues have considered his possible return but have ultimately decided to leave him at Como. Everything was put on hold, at least until 2026, when he once again emerged as an alternative. If he keeps performing at the level he has shown in Serie A, he could be the first signing for the next campaign.

In fact, Fabrizio Romano has surprised by confirming the agreement between Real Madrid and Nico Paz. He has pointed out that he will return to the white team, or at least that's the plan they have. The Argentine will, therefore, be another player in Xabi Alonso's squad in a year.

Real Madrid has been following him very closely due to the potential he had already shown. He made his debut with the first team and even managed to score a stunning goal against Napoli in the Champions League. That's why they signed a buy-back clause to make sure they could bring him back if he proved all his quality.

Nico Paz only thinks about Como... and Real Madrid

When Nico Paz left Real Madrid, he did so after speaking directly with Carlo Ancelotti. He confirmed to him that he wasn't going to get many minutes with the first team and recommended Serie A. That made him choose the offer he had from Como.

However, he has always made it clear that his greatest desire is to succeed at Real Madrid, which he doesn't rule out returning to. Although he's not going to do it just any way, especially now that he's Como's star. He'll only do it to be an important part of the rotation and not just to fill out the squad list.

That's why he has stayed at Como, despite the multimillion-euro offers, including Tottenham's. He wants to keep growing under Cesc's guidance and knows he has room to progress. If Madrid calls him, that will be the only moment he decides to leave his current team.
