Real Madrid gives the OK to the transfer of the full-back, he will play for Bournemouth

The footballer is transferring to another team with the approval of the Merengue board of directors

The transfer market this summer is about to end, but in the Valdebebas offices no surprising top-tier operation is expected at the last minute. Unlike previous seasons, the squad is completely closed: both the white club's top brass and Xabi Alonso, head of the coaching staff, have recently sent the same message.

Although no changes are expected to Santiago Bernabéu locker room, the board has not lost sight of a team change that affects the club. Because the information published by Fabrizio Romano indicates that AFC Bournemouth is acquiring the football services of a former white youth player who still has options to return to Madrid.

The name Álex Jiménez has come up on more than one occasion in the Valdebebas offices over the past two summers. His performance at AC Milan has made him one of the most promising youth players at left back... with the exception of a Miguel Gutiérrez who is now definitively separated from the Spanish capital club due to his move to SSC Napoli.

The player trained at La Fábrica left for the rossoneri squadi hoping to gain the experience and quality that would allow him to earn a place in the first team at Madrid. He has not been able to achieve that goal, but the executives led by Florentino Pérez do not want to lose sight of him so easily.

He keeps his place on the lists

That's why Real Madridhas intervened in Álex Jiménez's team change, ensuring a buy-back clause even at his new club: AFC Bournemouth. Dean Huijsen's former team is now the owner of this youth player from Madrid. Fabrizio Romano recalls that the deal was possible, ultimately, thanks to the Madrid club's approval.

The only condition set from the Valdebebas offices to approve this transfer to the Premier League was to keep a buy-back clause. Both AC Milan and AFC Bournemouth have agreed to keep that link between the Spanish capital club and its former player.

This operation has been carried out thanks to the loan with an option to buy formula. The lack of playing time for Álex Jiménez in the northern Italian squad may have reached its limit: Massimiliano Allegri is allowing the defender to leave San Siro to seek more minutes at another club. This loan is valued at approximately 2.2 million USD (2 million euros).

Likewise, the Italian team has set a purchase option for AFC Bournemouth at 23 million USD (21 million euros). It remains to be seen whether Andoni Iraola trusts Álex Jiménez to surpass Milos Kerkez, one of the most notable departures the cherries have recorded this summer... along with the departure of Dean Huijsen to Santiago Bernabéu.
