The Real Madrid Legend Who 'Inspired' Endrick to Score Against Real Sociedad

Endrick became the man of the knockout stage against Real by scoring in both matches

Real Madrid secured a spot in the Copa del Rey final after a wild match at Santiago Bernabéu against Real Sociedad (4-4)  with a special protagonist: Endrick Felipe. The Brazilian forward, who scored in the first leg at Anoeta, also "scored" in Chamartín.

After attempting a bicycle kick in the early minutes of the match, Endrick scored half an hour into the game after a great pass from Vinicius that the "16" "caught" with finesse and faced Remiro, whom he beat with a chip shot.

Endrick, who played 66 minutes, has become the top scorer of the Copa del Rey, alongside Julián Álvarez. Both players have scored five goals so far in the tournament, something noteworthy especially for the Madrid forward, with much fewer minutes than the Atlético player.

Endrick started getting minutes at the beginning of the season, but from October, after Madrid's defeat against Lille (1-0), everything faded. Now, Carlo Ancelotti seems to have brought him back for the final stretch of the season, a good piece of news given the evident wear and tear caused by the schedule.

Endrick Remembers Raúl

Endrick surprised after the match with statements pointing to the great "culprit" of his latest goal. "When I was training with Castilla, with Raúl, I would try chips and fail. And he would tell me: 'Hey! You have to watch my videos, I chipped it very well,'"  said the 18-year-old.

"When Vinicius passed me the ball, I thought the goalkeeper was going to come out, and I already had in mind to shoot hard, but when I lifted my head and looked at the goalkeeper, I knew he was going to go to the ground. The only option was the chip, and it worked out well," Endrick confessed.

Additionally, the striker showed humility, acknowledging that he still had much to learn and improve: "Do I deserve to play more? I don't know... You have to ask Carletto. Here, the four best in the world play: Bellingham, Rodrygo, Kylian, and Vini. I'm nobody, and what I have to do is work," he said.
