Real Madrid will be able to buy Chema back for a modest price if he breaks out in Germany
The agreement with the German squad includes a fairly affordable buy-back clause
Chema Andrés's departure to the Bundesliga has finally taken place. The move, which many sports media outlets had been speculating about for days, is part of the "talent exodus" that occurs annually from La Fábrica. The most advanced pupils from Real Madrid Castilla, with no place in the team, head to the European football elite.
The latest protagonist is the defensive midfielder, whose career in the white academy has certainly been remarkable. Having established himself as one of the best players in Álvaro Arbeloa's Juvenil A, the midfielder arrived at Real Madrid Castilla as one of Raúl González Blanco's regular starters. Even Carlo Ancelotti, seeing his progress, gave him some minutes with his league debut and in the Copa del Rey.

Xabi Alonso decided to include him in the squad for the Club World Cup. He has returned to the Spanish capital without having played a single minute, but with his future practically settled. The Bundesliga's interest in acquiring his services has materialized and the footballer is now a Stuttgart player.
The German side has agreed to sign Chema Andrés with a formula that Real Madrid applies with precision and consistency. The previous and current results of this way of letting talent developed at La Fábrica leave, such as Fran García or Nico Paz, are very powerful arguments in its favor.
The opportunity is there
Thus, Chema Andrés is leaving for Germany on a permanent transfer. Stuttgart only obtains 50% of his transfer rights, allowing Real Madrid to receive half of the money invested in a future sale of the midfielder. At the same time, the executives led by Florentino Pérez have included a buy-back clause.
This move has been made, in addition to "custom", with an eye on medium- and long-term sports planning. One of Xabi Alonso's most insistent requests for the coming seasons is the signing of a deep-lying playmaker to help Arda Güler in midfield.

Chema Andrés could well be one of the candidates to fill that position... in the short-term future, thanks to the buy-back clause set in his first professional contract away from Real Madrid. Although the amount of that prerogative is still unknown, everything suggests that it will be a modest price, in a range similar to those set for Nico Paz.
In any case, Real Madrid won't lose sight of Chema Andrés's progress at Stuttgart. The Spanish midfielder is heading to the Bundesliga hoping to improve his performance, with the possibility of returning to Santiago Bernabéu locker room... as long as that position isn't filled by another footballer in the meantime.
